Lenovo has announced a new mini-PC under its Bellator sub-brand, featuring Intel’s Panther Lake platform. This mini-PC, dubbed the Legion Challenger, is set to launch soon in China. The device is equipped with up to a 16-core processor from Intel’s Panther Lake family, paired with 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

One of the standout features of this mini-PC is its connectivity options. It includes dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports, which is a significant upgrade from the typical 1 GbE found in many mini PCs. This makes it ideal for network-intensive tasks, such as file transfers or remote work. Additionally, the Legion Challenger offers a variety of ports, including 1x 3.5 mm jack, 1x DC input, 1x DisplayPort, 1x HDMI, 4x USB Type-A, and 1x USB Type-C.

Lenovo claims the Legion Challenger offers up to 180 TOPS of AI performance, suggesting it will contain a high-end 16-core processor. This level of performance is comparable to Intel’s X-series processors with integrated Arc B390 iGPUs, similar to those found in the Asus NUC 16 Pro, which is currently priced at around $1,699.

However, Lenovo has not yet confirmed whether the Legion Challenger will use X-series processors or a different variant from the Panther Lake family. The exact pricing and official launch date remain unknown, but this mini-PC is poised to be a strong contender in the market, especially for users needing robust networking capabilities and high AI performance.

For those considering a mini-PC for local AI tasks or heavy networking, the Legion Challenger is worth keeping an eye on. Its combination of high-core-count processors, ample RAM, and advanced networking features makes it a compelling option. For more details, you can check out the original source here.
