First Intel Panther Lake Mini PC Uses Solid-State AirJet Cooling, Runs Quietly at 21 dBA

Aaeon’s UP Xtreme PTL Edge Air mini PC is the first to use Intel’s Panther Lake processors with solid-state AirJet cooling, operating at a mere 21 dBA.

This new cooling tech uses a solid-state air pump to move air through a heat sink, eliminating the need for traditional fans. The result is a mini PC that’s not only quieter but also more reliable, as it has no moving parts to fail. The UP Xtreme PTL Edge Air measures just 1.5 liters in volume and weighs 1.2 kg, making it slimmer and lighter than many actively cooled rivals.

For mini PC and local AI users, this matters because it offers a silent, reliable computing experience in a compact form factor. The reduced noise levels make it ideal for always-on tasks like local AI inference or home automation servers, where fan noise can be intrusive.
