GIGABYTE has launched the AI TOP 100 B850, a desktop system designed for advanced AI workloads, featuring up to an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor with 16 cores and 32 threads, based on the Zen 5 architecture. This system is aimed at businesses, developers, and researchers who want to run advanced AI workloads locally, rather than relying on cloud servers.

The AI TOP 100 B850 offers two GPU options: the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 with 32 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, or dual Radeon AI PRO R9700 GPUs, doubling the VRAM to 64 GB. This configuration allows the system to handle up to 235 billion parameters for inference and up to 110 billion parameters for fine-tuning.

The system comes with 128 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD, providing ample storage and memory for intensive workloads such as local large language model development, generative AI, and agentic AI applications.

With two PCIe 5.0 slots and a 1600W 80 PLUS Platinum power supply, the AI TOP 100 B850 offers great upgradeability. It also features dual 10 GbE LAN ports for fast data transfers, a WiFi 7 adapter for wireless connectivity, and multiple USB Type-C and Type-A ports for modern workflows.

For those shopping for a mini PC, the AI TOP 100 B850 is a powerful option for local AI tasks. The dual Radeon AI PRO R9700 GPUs provide a significant advantage in VRAM, making it suitable for handling large AI models locally. However, the system’s large form factor and high power consumption may not make it the best fit for those looking for a compact, power-efficient solution.

If you’re considering this system, it’s important to note that GIGABYTE hasn’t disclosed the pricing and availability information yet. For more details, you can check out the original article on Wccftech.
