Gigabyte has introduced two new AMD-powered mini PCs, the GB-BRR7-450 and GB-BRR5-430, which support up to 96GB of RAM and eGPU through USB4.

The GB-BRR7-450 is powered by the Ryzen AI 7 450 APU with integrated Radeon 860M graphics, while the GB-BRR5-430 uses the Ryzen AI 5 430 with Radeon 840M. These integrated GPUs aren’t suited for heavy workloads, but the USB4 port allows for external GPU support, such as the Bosgame RX 7600 XT eGPU, currently priced at $689.99 on Amazon.

Both models feature a compact design with two USB4 ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two HDMI ports, one 2.5GbE port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. They also support up to 96GB of DDR5 RAM and have two M.2 slots for PCIe Gen 4×4 SSDs.

The mini PCs include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and quad display output support. The design is expected to be similar to the recently unveiled Brix mini PCs, with a focus on low-noise cooling.

While the price and availability are not yet announced, the spec sheets are online, suggesting an imminent launch. For those considering a mini PC with high RAM capacity and eGPU support, these models are worth keeping an eye on.

If you’re in the market for a mini PC and need serious RAM, the GB-BRR7-450 and GB-BRR5-430 offer impressive specs. The ability to add an eGPU via USB4 is a significant advantage, especially if you need more graphical power than the integrated Radeon 860M or 840M can provide. However, keep in mind that the eGPU support comes at an additional cost, both in terms of the eGPU itself and the potential need for a more powerful power supply.
