GMKtec is launching a new high-end mini-PC, the EVO-X5 Pro, with impressive specs that include 24 TB of storage and up to 160 GB of VRAM. This mini-PC is set to hit the global market on September 28th, 2026, at 07:00 UTC. The EVO-X5 Pro will feature a Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 APU, which includes AMD’s Gorgon Halo architecture and a Radeon 8065S iGPU. This APU is paired with up to 192 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, of which up to 160 GB can be allocated as VRAM. This is a significant increase over the 96 GB limit found in Strix Halo machines.
The storage configuration is equally impressive, with up to 24 TB split across three M.2 2280 SSDs using PCIe Gen 4. This setup ensures blazing-fast data transfer speeds. The mini-PC also includes a 330 W built-in PSU, making it a self-contained powerhouse. Multiple EVO-X5 Pro units can be clustered together for even more powerful computing tasks.
In terms of connectivity, the EVO-X5 Pro offers a robust set of I/O options. On the front, you’ll find a 3.5 mm jack, a fingerprint reader, two USB Type-A ports, and two USB4 ports (40 Gbps). The rear side features two 10 GbE Ethernet ports, another 3.5 mm jack, a DC input, an HDMI port, a Kensington lock slot, two more USB Type-A ports, and two USB4 V2 ports (80 Gbps).
This mini-PC is a significant upgrade over GMKtec’s previous models, the EVO-X3 and EVO-X2, which we reviewed last year and are currently priced at $2,199 on Amazon. The EVO-X5 Pro’s specs make it a strong contender in the high-end mini-PC market, especially for those needing massive storage and VRAM for tasks like local AI processing, 3D rendering, or running large datasets.
If you’re in the market for a mini-PC with top-tier specs, the EVO-X5 Pro is worth keeping an eye on. For more details, you can check out the original article here.
