Minisforum has introduced an all-AMD version of its AtomMan G1 Pro gaming mini-PC, swapping the GeForce RTX 5060 for a Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16 GB of VRAM. This new configuration retains the Ryzen 9 8945HX processor, which features 16 cores and 32 threads, and supports up to 96 GB of DDR5-5200 memory. The system also includes dual PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots for up to 8 TB of combined storage, 5 Gbps Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 350 W internal power supply.

The extra VRAM in the Radeon RX 9060 XT is a significant upgrade, offering more headroom for high-resolution gaming and graphics-heavy workloads. While 8 GB of VRAM is sufficient for many titles, newer games at higher settings, especially at 1440p and above, often require more. The 16 GB of VRAM in the RX 9060 XT provides ample breathing room for large texture packs, heavier ray-tracing workloads, and future game releases. This makes the AtomMan G1 Pro-89A6 a strong contender for long-term gaming performance.

The all-AMD configuration also positions the G1 Pro-89A6 as an alternative to Valve’s Steam Machine, although direct comparisons are challenging due to price differences. Valve’s SteamOS has improved support for AMD-powered desktops, and the AtomMan G1 Pro-89A6 could potentially be certified for SteamOS in the future.

Minisforum is selling the AtomMan G1 Pro-89A6 with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD for $1,759 on its US website, with shipping estimated for late October. The RTX 5060 version remains available for $1,719. For those considering this mini-PC, the extra VRAM and all-AMD configuration make it a compelling choice for high-resolution gaming and future-proofing.
